Below is a description of the Classical Guitar Lesson series as well as a description of each individual lesson. All lessons can be purchased individually using our Eyeguitar Store Widget at the bottom of this page below the descriptions. You can sample the third lesson for FREE on YouTube here.

Classical Lesson Series
Learn to play beautiful, timeless classical pieces. Popular songs covered include: Maleguena, Greensleeves, Scarborough Fair and Spanish Romance. This is an enjoyable series to learn after the Beginners series to improve your right hand techniques and expand your repertoire. We lead you thorough each piece in detail, breaking each song into manageable steps to ensure you learn to play them correctly in the most efficient manner.
Lesson 1
- In this lesson we cover some basics for playing classical guitar. If you have completed the Beginners Series you should be well prepared to tackle the material in this series.
- The first piece we learn is “Malaguena,” the first portion is covered in this lesson.
Lesson 2
- In this lesson we complete the tune “Malaguena.”
Lesson 3
- In this lesson we learn the first half of “Greensleeves.” This is a more complex version than that covered in the Beginners Series. This version uses two lines of music played at the same time.
Lesson 4
- In this lesson we complete the tune “Greensleeves.”
Lesson 5
- In this lesson we learn the first half of a simplified version of a Spanish tune called “Spanish Romance.”
Lesson 6
- In this lesson we complete the tune “Spanish Romance.”
Lesson 7
- In this lesson we begin a lovely little study called “Country Dance.”
Lesson 8
- In this lesson we complete “Country Dance.”
Lesson 9
- In this lesson we begin a Spanish piece written by Isaac Albeniz called “Leyenda.”
Lesson 10
- In this lesson we complete the tune “Leyenda.”
Lesson 11
- In this lesson we begin the song “Scarborough Fair,” a traditional tune that was recorded and popularized in the 1960s.
Lesson 12
- In this lesson we learn the remainder of “Scarborough Fair.”
Lesson 13
- In this lesson be begin a tune called “Canario.” Canario is a style of French dance from the 17th century.
Lesson 14
- In this lesson we learn a lovely little tune called “Espanioletta.” This was a type of dance performed in the 17th century.
Lesson 15
- In this lesson we begin to learn the full version of “Spanish Romance.” We refer back to the simplified version, covered in lessons five and six, but we add in the more complex portions.
Lesson 16
- In this lesson we complete the complex version of “Spanish Romance.”
Lessons 17 to 20
- In this series of four lessons we learn “The Earl of Salisbury’s Pavane.” William Byrd wrote this piece over 300 years ago. This is a difficult piece to play and is spread over four lessons.
